Terms of Use

Last updated August 24, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of Aimio: Universal TV Remote (the "App"), published by Aimio ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these terms.

License

Subject to your compliance with these terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions and the App Store's usage rules.

What the App does

Aimio lets you control compatible televisions — currently Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sony, VIDAA (Hisense, Toshiba) and Android/Google TV models — over your local Wi-Fi network. Apple TV and Amazon Fire TV are not supported. Compatibility depends on your TV model, its firmware, and your network configuration; we cannot guarantee that every unit of a supported brand will pair successfully.

Subscription and purchase terms

Aimio Pro is offered in two forms, both billed and managed by Apple through your App Store account:

  • Annual subscription — $14.99/year with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the price then in effect. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
  • Lifetime purchase — $39.99, one time. This is a single, non-recurring purchase that unlocks Aimio Pro permanently on your Apple ID, with no further charges.

All payments are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own refund policies — Aimio has no ability to issue refunds directly. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

If you reinstall the App or switch devices, use the "Restore Purchases" option to reapply an existing purchase to your account — it does not create a new charge.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App except where such restriction is prohibited by law; not to use the App to interfere with or gain unauthorized access to any device, network, or service that is not your own; and not to use the App for any unlawful purpose.

Trademarks

Roku, Samsung, LG, Vizio, Sony, VIDAA, Hisense, Toshiba, Android TV, Google TV, Apple, Apple TV, Amazon and Fire TV are trademarks of their respective owners. Aimio is an independent, unofficial remote-control app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the television manufacturers or platforms named above.

No warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every television, router, or network configuration.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the App.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in your country or region of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local law requires otherwise.
